Did I mention the roads are gnarly in there?!  They kinda smooth out with a layer of snow, but then present some sketchy travel on the hills :yike:

Saw lots of elk including a "true spike" that made it through the modern rifle season..

We really hadn't seen anything that got our attention until we spotted this guy on day eight.  Considering what we had seen and after a little back and forth he decided to take this deer.  Wasn't quite that easy though as the deer had gone over the ridge and out of site while we were looking him over.  We hustled over to where he had dropped out of site only to jump a small four point.  Not that deer! 

Couple moments later the one we were after appeared and that was that..
