The day just got that much better!!!
« on: February 24, 2009, 05:33:56 PM »
I just found out that my school isn't starting school next year until the 8th of September, last year we started the 3rd. That means that I will get 7 days of bow hunting before I go back to work! Now comes the question, what do I want to do, pack in, tree stands, spot stock, all the above, mule deer, whitetail, life is hard.  :chuckle:
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

I have to think of something to keep we from going crazy waiting for snow to leave.  :chuckle: I start track practice next Wednesday and I still have over a foot on my field. I hate inside practices, the kids don't like them either. Last year we only had two outside practices before our first meet. See I have worries.  :chuckle:

I was always upset at the teachers time off, but if they are going hunting I feel better. Make those days count. Mike

Most of my time off in the summer is spent in school taking classes with my own money so I can stay certified. Not as glamorous as it sounds. They have it so messed up that it is almost not worth teaching in this state. I have seven years of college and make 15K per year less than the average college graduate. The newest series of classes that I have to take (pro-cert) is costing me close to 4K out of my pocket and will not increase me on the salary scale. In a profession that starts at the 30K mark that is a lot of money. I usually get about 3 weeks off in the summer where I'm not in school. This year two weeks will be bow hunting. During the school year I can only take two days off, If I don't use them I loose them. But in this economy I definitely can't complain, I have a job.

Antelope 12-19 August (MT if drawn)
Deer 1-7 September (WA)
