My point was you need a balance between being so focused on saving money that you miss out on things you love like goose hunting.  I'd much rather have a goose call than the benefit of saving $40.  We aren't talking about an extra $10K of other stuff.  He asked about a goose call.  In any event, no need to derail his thread.

Whatever you do, good luck and enjoy your hunts.

The thing that perked my interest is he put himself on a budget which is being smart with his money at his age.  Believe me if someday he or his spouse loses a job no one else will care and or lose a hunting partner you are on your own when it comes to hunting.

I enjoy the Canada Hammer 2 from Buck Garnder. Decently priced around 40 bucks and easy to call with. Can be a bit of a pain doing a double cluck.

If you can't find any to try out I can help you out.  I have several boxes full of calls you can try out from Zinks, JJ Lares, Foiles, Pacific Calls.
I keep trying to get my 13 year old into calling, but he hasn't been interested up to this point.
I've seen this pile of calls and played with a few... if you've ever wondered where the call candy store is with every flavor imaginable this is a heck of an offer.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
