First Fawn I've seen this year.

Look who stopped by for breakfast this morning. Mom & youngin looking good. Too bad she only had one.

I seen the smartest doe ever.

I was cutting hay and she came running out of the woods about 1000 yards away and ran almost right up to me.  Just a few yards away from the swather she coaxed her fawn out of the waste high alfalfa and escorted it out of the hayfield to some tall grass where I don't cut.   I would have found that fawn in 3 more rounds and it wouldn't have ended well for the fawn, it was still wobbly legged.

Never seen that happen before

I've been seeing some healthy deer this year. It looks like it may be a good year to stay on the wetside & chase blacktails. But oh no. I'll drive hundreds of miles to eastern MT & WY this year. Nobody said I was the sharpest tool in the shed.   :chuckle:
