Has he contacted the area wildlife biologist or local game warden? Funny as it may seem, they have always been helpful in the past with assisting tag holders for moose. I have hunted late Whitetail in that area several times, and have always found plenty of bulls, but that was before the last fire. Hope he kills a giant, saw one in there 3 years ago that pushed 50"!

Some may argue, but the wolves have impacted the moose and apparently so have the ticks. There are still moose on Hunters/Springdale that's probably the best area in 121, but it's not as good as it used to be, but, I don't think any places are as good now as they used to be five years ago. :twocents:

I will post pics one at a time, my internet sucks.  I will paste what Dean said, he passed this bull the first day, then they saw a few smaller bulls is all the next couple days.  He decided to take this bull on the Monday after opener. He found out just how much pressure comes with big tags.  The bull was 49.5" wide. This was a short response from dean.

tell them I appreciate all the help. Spent a lot of time scouting around stranger mountain but ended up seeing all the animals south of Spring Dale pass
