Kitsap Bass anglers
« on: June 29, 2017, 08:24:49 AM »
I have moved into the Port Orchard area and have recently taken up bass fishing.  Anyone have any advice for taking on Kitsap bass?  Was hoping to find a club to join if anyone is in a local bass club.

Thanks!

WDFW puts such emphasis on trout, bass are tough... hope you find some good opportunities!

If you got a boat Long Lake in PO or Kitsap Lake for decent bass fishing.  All the small lakes like panther, wye and tiger have bass also.  If your up to hiking in Lake Koneman also called trout lake is hike in only and has lots of bass and giant trout.

Thanks Kball4.  I have been fishing Long Lake because it is close to my house.  I am having a hard time catching in that lake.

I know before a lot of bass club guys would go to Long Lake, so you might want to make some small talk with those guys when you're out there to see what the club is.  There's a lot of lakes in the Belfair, gig harbor area that are good for bass.  Bay Lake, Kitsap Lake, Long Lake, Spencer Lake, Limerick Lake, Island Lake, Haven Lake, Tee Lake, Crescent Lake.  You get the idea.

Got to get out early on Long Lake especially this time of year with all the jet skis and everything going.

Thanks Hunt_Fish I am going to start visiting these lakes and a few others I see on the map.  Thanks for your input.
