FUNNY STORY!
So the other night, I took a guy from my unit out yote hunting. We walk in for a few miles and get to the spot where I wanted to call. I started right around 9PM with a howl.
Nothing.
So I waited a few minutes and just jumped right into cagie cottontail. No joke, within 30 SECONDS a DOE comes hauling ass and goes right to the call. She was stomping and all sorts of pissed off. About a MINUTE later, a coyote comes HAULING ass right to the call. When the doe saw the yote, she started chasing the coyote and ran it off.
We didnt see anything else tonight, but those first two minutes were well worth it.
