What about that 219" buck killed on the Rez like 3 or 4 years ago? In my understanding that buck was killed north of glenwood, close to Klickitat Meadows. If you hunt in the uppermost part of the Cowiche Unit, you are on the other side of the Meadows. That buck wasn't a pure muley, not even close. The genetics are there, somewhere, not in great amounts but there is the possibility, but they don't get the age required to get that big. Rez buck

OMG I did not think that there was anything like that running around in our state. They should have taken that to the sportsmans show.

There's actually a lesson here for the rest of us (or at least for WDFW). The rez produces some big bucks because they can shoot either does or bucks and the buck/doe ratio is very good. I remember my stepdad killing some bruisers on the Spokane Rez. He used to say that they got that big because most people were driving the roads and killing the does and yearlings. If a deer is smart enough to find a hole he can survive almost unharrassed for years.Rez buckHoly That thing is massive. Wow. With the publicity and shame that the Whitefoot's bring to the tribe most tribal members don't bring any antlers to the show most don't care what they score I don't I have never taken anything to the show I have never had anything scored, (I have and would kill a trophy again if I had a chance it would be bigger than the low 300s) I have seen some big boys come off the rez. The big rez buck was at the show last year just not at the antler display.
