Calling bears
« on: August 09, 2017, 09:08:25 PM »
Going to give it a shot tomorrow. First time trying to call bears. Wondering if there are times of the day that are better than others to call. Start calling at first lite? Any different than late morning?

Heading home tomorrow. Morning and evening see them all day crossing road and feeding. Was very tough here in Clearwater. Putting in a ton of culverts and different land ownsrs. Should of went up above prison. Morni g will be best of all. Rick

Let us know how it went for you!  I like calling both first and last light.  But if you get a nice cool overcast day, if you can get close enough they will come in.

No bears. My daughter had a great time which makes it worth it regardless. She did yell at me to shoot the elk, but I reminded her bears only for now. Have to head over to Methow/Mazama for work for the next couple weeks but I will go back out when I get back home!
