I have been in the same boat.  My binoculars and my rangefinder work well enough that it wasn't worth $3K to change over.

Both companies have been very good to me over the years.  Like we need another binocular.

I hope one of you gets your hands on a pair to do a review for the rest of us. Even though I do freelance work for Nikon I haven't seen the LaserForce 10x42 Bino-Rangefinder yet. From what I have heard they are moving well and a lot of that is most likely due to the $1200 price and that they are backed by Nikon's No Fault Policy. It seems like very few companies will back electronic's with a warranty like Nikon's. If you get a pair let me/us know what you think.

In the meantime, another new product by Nikon that might interest you longrange shooter's is Nikon's BLACK X1000 MRAD/MOA scope. I have one on a .308 that will soon be sittig on a 6.5 CM for some real testing. 30mm tube, illumination, great glass, SFP and the 6-24 coming in at $649.Definitely worth taking a look at.

Like the 25 oz weight.  With Nikon glass if the turret mechanism is solid could put some pressure on Leupold to drop their $2k street price on their 4-24 scopes.  Have to do some comparison to see if Leupy is worth 3 times Nikon when they have similar specs.  Just got an Athlon Ares 4.5-27 look forward to seeing how that stacks up.

1900 yards on the binos for $1200 sounds like a winner if the glass is good.  But monarch glass and sig rangefinder combined is half that so hope glass is euro quality.

I can't wait for one of you guys to relate your hands on experience with the LaserForce Bino-Rangefinder. I have yet to get my hands on a set but the one person I know who has used them raves about them. He has used them in CO,KS and MO doing predator control and has passed on only positive comment's to me. Great to see the Promo before the Holiday's too.

I have one and will post a more extensive review when I have time. My initial thoughts are that both the rangefinder and binocular are good. However, the binoculars are not as good as my Swarovskis and the range finder is not as good as my Sig Kilo.

On the topic of rangefinders, it is defintely worth looking at the Nikon MONARCH 7iVR. These are amazing with the new vibration reduction technology. I have been using a pair for a year and do not plan to give them back, ever! Sub $400!

The electronics are only warranted for one year.

That electronics warranty sucks. 

I've been using the old Bushnell rangefinding binoculars for many years, I even bought three of them at a Bargain Cave in MN for an amazing price and gave a couple away as Christmas gifts.  But now, almost 15 years later, one had the electronics quit working and another has a loose eyepiece, though still works.

I would really like to get a new one.

Sorry, should have posted this the other day, Monday... Amazon had the Nikon for $850, but it doesn't show up now. Guess what I'm getting for Christmas?

I called Nikon and asked about the warrenty on the rangefinder.  Electronics are not covered after 1 year! Looks like I will go with the Vortex

I did go with the Nikon.

So far, they have been good.  The glass seems decent and I have ranged a duck out at 255 yards.  I had a little glitchy moment last week or so where I was ranging some anchored boats, hit one at about 365 and then tried to do the one past it and kept getting short yardages.  Eventually, I was able to get it to read at about 520.  I might have been hitting the waves or something.

I will say, the first one I received would turn on but not range anything, I had my replacement before I even got the first one in the mail.

I'm sorry you were given mis-information on the LaserForce bino/Rangefinder. As I stated above the electronics and optic's ARE covered under Nikon's lifetime warranty. Nikon just released a new rangfinder you guy's be inrterested in checking out. MONARCH 3000 Stabilized Rangefinder. Yup, 3000 yards! I'll post a link below for you. It won best new product award at ATA show in Indianapolis, IN last week. We should have a lot fo guy's checking it out next week at Shot Show. $420 with a 5 year warranty on the electronics. I have been using the 7iVR for 2 years but now that I'm doing more longrange shooting the 3000 should be a handy tool.

Which contradicts what is included with the LaserForce, so why won't Nikon clarify the contradiction?

I have not had one in my hands yet but will soon. The weight difference from the 10x42 bino to LaserForce is 9 oz. The 10x42 bino fit great in the hands easy to use for glassing areas without fatigue. If you can handle the 10x42's the LaserForce should not be a problem.
