Laws for training with live ducks on WDFW land.
« on: July 26, 2017, 03:15:12 PM »
I am curious if anyone has much experience on what a person has to do to be legal when training with pen raised ducks on state land? If I buy from a game bird farmer will they have already done the required things to make me legal as far as marking them and such?

Likely back toe clipped already. Per the regs you need to have proof of purchase also.

Colin is correct. Somehow the bird must be identified either with a band, clipped toe, or whatever. You have to have your receipt from the licensed game bird breeder also. Other than that there isn't any rules that I know of and I've had game wardens watch me train before.
