Lyman Case Tumbler issue
« on: August 09, 2017, 05:32:16 PM »
I got new Lyman Turbo Pro 1200 tumbler, I'm currently using/attempting it for the second time and the thing keeps shutting off on me. I did it as well the first time. I can't find anything in the manual or anywhere else that says it has a built in timer or that it requires its union break every hour, because the brass isn't shining yet. It was going for about an hour before it shut off this time. The outlet works I checked it.

Anyone have experience with this tumbler and it shutting off on them? I have used a rock polisher in the past to tumble brass so I'm used to just plug it in and checking back every couple hours. Is it a safety mechanism to keep it from over heating? There is no air flow restrictions around and it doesn't feel or smell hot. I unplug it for 20 min then works again. Is shutting off a part of the tumbling process that I'm un aware of?
God Bless,
Scott
