Headed out with the wife in the evening, and this weekend with my son. Can't find bears at home and if I am going to sweat my butt of  I may as well be in the woods.

My bear area doesn't open until September 1st. I can't wait for my vacation September 1st-6th. Right now it's too hot for me anyways.

Was only 62 at 5am (I didn't go).  By 10am we are choked thick with smoke, visibility absolutely sucks.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

 Went out for a short evening scout/hunt session.  88 degrees, saw a small buck, then three cow elk, then a bull elk, then four more doe and yearling combinations as I moved around.  Zero bear. 

Several idiots were heading in at full speed, fishtailing up the gravel roads and into the hills at last light as I was leaving.  Night hunters I guess.
