Fall Vs Spring Locations
« on: July 23, 2017, 06:43:45 PM »
So I'm trying to find my first bear this year, but I can't seem to find much sign while scouting. Lately I have been looking in areas that are regarded as good fall areas.

However In the Spring I found some areas that were heavily traveled by Bears. The tracks of destruction were impressive. I haven't checked this area again because it's a long drive from home.

So my question is does knowing a spring area help me in the Fall? Do they revisit these areas or move on? Do they keep near by? Should I rule this area out because it doesnt seem to have the classic fall Bear  "necessities".

Thanks for any advice you guys can share I have been learning a lot on here. Just couldn't seem to find any answers to this question I have been struggling with.

Welcome to the site. This book would be a great place to start for a description of the types of areas to look for:

It's also a fun read!
There is not enough wilderness left in the world, or in the hearts of men.
