Quail
« on: August 12, 2017, 01:02:31 PM »
Really good hatches this year.   As I'm typing this.  I'm watching about 25, newly hatched buttons, working their way through my flower bed.  This might even be third hatch.   One good thing about drynsummers as long as they have some water access.

With this wet cold spring all the ones up here lost there first batch. I was really hoping they would try another batch. Yesterday I saw about 20 little ones running with some adults. They really seem to either have bad year or great years up here. They are starting to pick back up in number so that's a great thing :IBCOOL:

I was picking the last of my raspberries and had a mamma come flying out and circling me over the weekend, than I noticed why. About 8 young babies. We have about 30-40 that live in our trees. Noticed another group in or tomatoes
Is it waterfowl season yet..............

I am excited that I have a 13 year old Son. We have a good little group of them picked out in an area. Everytime we go by there the group is always running around. So he can get first dibs on them on 9-23/9-24.
