Shooting area near Banks Lake?
« on: July 26, 2017, 12:23:46 AM »
Going camping in a few weeks and was wondering if someone knows of an area that I could take the family to do some shooting? From the westside, so not too familiar with the area.

Is this the Banks Lake at Coulee City?
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Yes, it is. Didn't realize I missed spelled it in the title.

Curious about this as well. We just spent a last Saturday night at Steamboat rock, very nice campground. We'll probably head back at some point in the future.

About the only safe area would be the gravel pits just east of the rodeo grounds. To be honest I dont even know if they are still open as they were talking about putting gates on them a few years back. If you do go there look around first, lots of folks from town used to take dirt bikes and quads out there in the evenings.

Thanks for the info, hopefully I will have time to check it out. But might be too hot to be off the water for long.
