Blackrock cow tag success
« on: August 19, 2017, 12:05:40 PM »
Happy to share after some posts on prior years of this tag seemed touch and go.  My step daughter drew this tag and made contact with the manager. He called yesterday morning and we met up.  After a stalk, we closed the gap, and they started working towards us.  At 250 yards, the 7mm Rem Mag barked and she hit perfectly her first cow. It's went as smooth and perfect as it could have, can't say enough about how well it went top to bottom.  Great guys!

From the time she shot, we had her hanging in a cooler in 4 hours.  Good luck this season!

Great  shot!

Thanks for sharing.

(Is she really as dark as she looks in that photo?    I've never seen such a dark colored cow).

Is the hide in good enough condition to have tanned?  Very different color, would make a cool trophy for her if so.

Thanks for posting the close up of the hide..... .   That is really something.

It would be cool to get tanned if it worked.

That's a really unique cow she got.

Way to start the season off
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

In November U.S. manufacturing contracted for the the ninth consecutive month. Layoffs across the economy are higher than anytime since the pandemic in 2020 and I just read that the Midwest farmers will be receiving a 12B bailout due to 50 year trade relationships being destroyed. I have to admit that I was a sceptic and didn't believe in the effectiveness in tariffs but I'm a believer now.
