I'm not seeing many here on the West side of the state.  Are they showing up yet elsewhere?

I dont see many here around my place in the Tri City area either. In fact, I swear Im seeing more and more eurasian doves though.

Theres certain places that I drive by every day where usually the doves will be lined up on the powerlines. Not this year, very few birds.

Not very many quail either for that matter...and forget about pheasant, cant remember if I have seen one all summer.

We drove from Leavenworth to Spokane last week and saw a ton of them.  We crossed at Wenatchee and went north to cut across at Eatonville.  Lot of dove flying around.

I've been working towards Dayton, wow, this is as many as I've seen in years.  Maybe 2000 or so was the last time I've seen this many.

Yes- but you need a license.

Seems there is more Eurasian Dove this year than any year I've paid attention. Suckers need some thinning for sure!

If I were to drive over from Tacoma, is there a public area one would recommend to have a good chance at seeing some doves?  Do you just look for them on power lines and sit down in a field hoping they'll fly by?  Or do you look for water, or?  Not sure the best way to target them.

I scout and look where their water source is then I set up decoys in the area. Seems to work out pretty good for me.

Wenatchee valley is loaded with doves. Half dozen sitting on my fence as I type this. They like to tease my dogs

We have Eurasian collared doves coming to our little pond everyday. Wife won't let me hunt and gather in the backyard though. We both like to watch them come in while we're sitting right there. They are a pretty bird.

Find water, roosting trees, feed

Set up in between and bring at least 2 boxes of shells

Kill all the eurasians. Invasive species that drive out native birds
