Weyerhaeuser Permit holders North. End.
« on: August 23, 2017, 08:13:56 AM »
I made this same post in the Hunt Swaps/partners section, but got no responce so here goes again.  :chuckle:
I paid for the permit this year because it gives me a lot of access right around my house out off of Hwy 530. The permit only allows us to take spouces and children, immediate family. I was looking to see if any other permit holders want to team up and hunt together. It would be nice to have someone else to hunt with and help with pack outs. I've been up in a couple of promising looking area, but haven't seen a bear yet. I know they are there though. Let me know if you want to meet up.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

They are in there. I had a spring tag there a couple of years ago. Had a sow at 60 yards. But then saw her cub. Had a huge headed bear on cam. And two others. PM me.

What are you hunting?

Thanks TC, that's a nice bear. Sky, I'm hunting bear now. I'll add Grouse on September 1, deer in October.

I'm in the same boat, you can PM me if you want to try and meet up one day. I have done a lot of looking around since this is my first year with a permit. Seen lots of bear sign in a few areas. Can't wait for grouse season. I live in Arlington and have lots of free time.

I found an area with some bear sign. I hadn't seen much at all but I think I have a good area to concentrate on. Lots of Grouse out there also, going to make a Grouse stew tomorrow. Anybody else been seeing Anything?

I've laid eyes on 3 this year in the Granite block. 1 was a little too small, and only had a texas heart shot at it and didn't want to go that route. The other 2 were decent sized bears, but being 200 yards away and only having my bow with me left me unable to do much but cry.
