Salmon La Sac closed for fire
« on: August 24, 2017, 10:22:32 AM »
Just a heads up to anyone planning to access ALW from the Salmon La Sac area, the road is now closed past the Wish Poosh campground due to the Jolly Mountain fire. Hopefully that doesn't affect too many plans!

Where are the guys that hunt there going to spill over to? That fire just closed one of the hardest hit areas for the high buck hunt in the state

It's now closed at the last resort. I believe all the teanaway roads and camp grounds are closed as well.

The air isn't very good in Yakima, but not sure if that's a product of our fire (on chinook) or that one.   I could see the plume from that one from Selah yesterday though, so it's making some ash.

Yeah, it ruined mine too.  Just have to make the best of plan B.
