Favorite Gun Shop

Just curious what everyones favorite gun shop? I'm down in Vancouver and haven't been to many but have been to Sporting Systems and it was very nice. Smaller shop, TONS of ARs and good handgun selection but most of all the staff are friendly. Doesn't hurt they have complementary cookies and coffee. Was thinking of checking out Safefire shop after work today.

I like countyline in mckenna and j&s in lacey.  Some of the few that carry stuff other than ar15s and black pump shotguns anymore.

Kesselrings had always been my favorite,  was sad to see them go. Skagit Arms is probably my favorite now. They have a pretty good inventory of reloading components. Among other things.

Since my favorite gun shop kinda cost me a lot of money this week, per my wife, I have to repeat the phrase all gun shops are bad evil places, ten times, or she said I have to sleep outside with the dog and we don't even have a dog.

Short of the "warden" putting me on lock down, I've had good luck with Precision Combat Arms in Spokane.

I buy a lot of decent used guns, mostly handguns. My two favorite placed to buy are Pacific Pawn and Pawn Fathers on Evergreen in Everett. I can generally bet a good price drop on the items if they have set on the shelf for a month or so and I pay with cash on the spot.

Actual gun shops would have to be Skagit Arms in Burlington, but their prices are generally up there at the high end, but they do have a good inventory of used guns. I only boy a gun or two a year from there.

I check out used guns at the Cabelas in Marysville a couple of days a week and buy four or five guns there a year that are in decent shape and at a decent price.

I generally don't pay the going rate for firearms, if I can't get a good deal, I don't buy.

I also get a few guns a year from JC's Pawn Shop in Mt. Vernon, Kim will not work with you on the price. So it is what it is marked, so if it's not a good price I will not buy.

stopped at white elephant on my way to my brother in law's wedding in sandpoint a few weeks ago, what a cool store.  had brand new .264 mag M70s on the shelf, couldn't believe it!

Won't ever use County Line again.  They tried to rip me and one of my buddies off several times.  When they tell your that your never fired 1970's S&W 1911 is only worth $250 and that they have never heard of nor could find an H&K or PTR 91 something is wrong.  They also screwed up the gun smithing on my buddies brand new rifle and refused to make it right until an attorney got involved.  I-5 in Lacey, and Easy County Guns in Elma and Chehalis are great gun stores.

Kesselrings is selling guns again. It's not called Kesselrings but Brad (the chubby guy that worked at Kesselrings before it closed) is using the old pistol counter area to sell guns. Supply is limited but he will order anything and he is working on building up his supply. I hope it is successful. I've always liked Brad and his customer service was always the best to me even when it was super busy at the old Kesselrings.

East county guns in Elma he now has a shop in Centralia as well.  Andy always treated me nice, which I cannot say for most the gun shops and pawn shops I have been in.  Private party and sellers here on Huntwa are also often a really good option.

I used to like Gun Town in South Everett (or was it lynnwood?) for handguns. Was sad to see them close their doors. Kesselring's was always good too, as long as you didn't deal with the grumpy guy.
I can't say I have a favorite now. Skagit Arms prices things too high. The buying experience at Cabela's is brutal. Coastal gave me a good buying experience on a pistol that was sale priced really cheap, so they get a thumbs up from me.
For price and selection, grabagun.com is hard to beat.

Dj's in Bothell always has some neat stuff coming in and their prices always seem fair.

Precise Shooter in Lynwood. They don't have a ton of stock on hand but can order stuff in. I've been in there a couple of times when people have had stuff sent there from gunbrokers and overheard them saying they wish they had looked there first! Ffl transfer is $25!

They bailed out of Seattle as soon as the taxes started getting rolled out on guns and ammo.

I have bought a couple of handguns from DJ's, I've stopped there several times and they seamed to be under-staffed, but they do have a bunch of guns at some what reasonable prices. I made two scores on two of me guns on my want list. Not really at bargain prices, but I have them. Kind of out of the way for me, Wish they were closer.

Ah, the old store Kesselring customer service...When you could get it. Yes, Old Grumpy was something else, but few of the staff were much better. I recall one afternoon being the lone customer in the entire store. The lone sales associate promptly moved to the far end of the gun counter and proceeded to ignore me standing at the other end. The phone rang and he answered it:

"I'm too busy right now...Call back later."

We have a couple pretty good places to buy guns in Colville, Clark's All sports and North 40. I've also bought a lot through the years at the White Elephant in Spokane, both locations.

Porter Machine Works in Curlew if you ever have a problem in that neck of the woods. He was my gunsmith. he can machine, cerakote, triggers, everything..
