Here's my Leupold range finder from this past weeks elk hunt. I got sick of it not working so decided to use it for a practical purpose.

I have the Sig 1200 and it won't read black objects or if it does it reads them about 7 yards longer than they really are.

When I did my research a year ago, I found this to be the standard:

Sig 2000
Leica 1600
Everything else

I bought a Sig 850 and I love it, but I don't like the black display.  Wish it was red.

I use the Leica 1600 and have not had any issues other than if you run into fog.  It throws off the reading.  Other than that, it has been a great unit.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Yep. I'm thinking of switching to carbon to get a flatter trajectory at closer ranges, though

I have a Vortex 1000 and have no complaints.  I push the button, it tells me either the actual range or the ballistic range and if it breaks they will send me a new one no questions asked.

Just picked up the Sig 2000, cabelas had a good sale, got it for 275 shipped,  it is fast! was able to pick up plenty of targets in the 1700-2000 yard range without much trouble.

Sig Kilo 2400ABS

I have read good things about the 2400.  Have you had it out in the fog?

Leica 1600.  The gold standard by which all others are measured.

Compact. Lightweight. Works.

Leica 1200 is what I have now.  I sure like the new G7 BR2500 Ballistic Rangefinder 7x reviews that came out.
