Youth clothing.
« on: September 09, 2017, 06:31:48 PM »
I have been backpack hunting the last couple of years. My son is 12 and drew a cow tag this year so we are gonna go in together. I am looking for suggestions for clothing. He is an adult small for him. We tried on a few peices of sitka gear at sportsmans but he didn't care for the synthetic material. I wear first lite and kuiu but they dont offer any thing in a small. Looking for suggestions.

I have three kids. And i always sized up one size. So the clothes would last them for awhile. Instead of growing out of it in 6 months or less. Imo.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum, we walk by the Sitka on our way to the Bargain Cave with a coupon.  They always have dirt cheap kids stuff if you aren't picky.

I rarely ever go to sportsmans, I didn't know there was a bargain cave. I'll try and check it out.

I know my boys hate it when I take them to the women's section...but there is a bunch of clothing cut for an adult woman that fits 12 year old boys...just use a sharpie and re-color the pink logos...I've also found REI has a decent kids selection, just not camo, but camo is really more of a marketing gimmick unless your a bowhunter...after all, nothing like covering your camo coat with a blaze orange vest!
