What are these primers for?
« on: February 28, 2009, 08:01:34 PM »
My hunting buddy, went into the local sporting good store and as if the had primers.  They had Winchester 209 shotgun, and full box of Magnum small pistol primers.  I have several reloading manuals, but they are old, and don't list any hand gun using this primer.  Just like to know what they are used for.

They were for use in the 357Mag with Win 296 and H-110 spherical powders as they can be harder to ignite especially in colder temps.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

They can be used in any small pistol.  Just a little hotter then a standard is the only difference.
