Omak Deer Area 2015 Second Deer
« on: September 05, 2017, 11:43:27 AM »
I was selected for a second deer. antlerless, in the Omak Deer area 2015. Im a new hunter and just now realised its a private land hunt only. Id hate to see my tag go to waste. If anyone knows of any land owners who are willing to let me hunt, I'd appreciate it. I'm open to paying for access, helping with chores, sharing the meat. Let me know. Thanks!

My husband had the same thing happen with his early Manson 2nd deer tag--didn't realize it was all private land until after the draw. He had good luck working with WDFW to identify cooperative landowners.

Try contacting the WDFW Private Lands Biologist up there. He might be able to put you in touch with landowners who are looking for help with conflict deer, or can put you in touch with whoever works on deer conflicts near Omak. Contact info is: (509) 664-0848 Eric.Braaten@dfw.wa.gov.

I appreciate the feedback. Okanogon Valley Guide Service reached out and they're going to book me for a very reasonable price.
