I don't know him Bear....I've had the pleasure of meeting alot of those guys.  That Rory Cook fellow is a hunting machine.  He is beating the woods over in Hornseekers neck of the woods now.  Lances bull is on here now and his story.  Thats a great hunt and what inpsired me to go after my moose with a bow.  I wore my hunting-washington.com hat to the banquet.....left the fancy cowboy hat at home this time.  I was hoping a few of those gents might sign up.  You should get after Mr. Rinaldi Pope.  That man can tell a story or two and he obviously has a love for hunting and has been at it.

Looking forward to BigBuckDownII   I just found out I drew Montana.  YEAH  Luck is pickin' up.  Now I just need a sheep tag to mess things really up.  Hopefully I didn't just really jinx myself, but at least I don't have to have Washington to rely on.

Excellent, congrats!

Guys, I am on the board of directors for the Montana Bowhunters Association and the same story goes here... we have about 900 members and there are nearly 32,000 bow licenses sold each year. The reason there are such good seasons, can be attributed SOLEY to the MBA.. Every bit of archery hunting you guys have has SOMETHING to do with WSB.. guaranteed...if someone wasn't fighting for the bow hunters, the rifle or muzzleloaders would take it away...guaranteed.... SO... JOIN.. No, they and We aren't elitist traditionalist. Around 2/3 of our members are compound shooters...and i could care less...

I would like to get Rinaldi on here.  I am going to try.  I get the feeling he isn't the most computer savy guy...and it takes him a while to check emails.  Seems like it would be a good way for those guys to promote the club.

By the way Ernie...I keep dreaming about that super wide whitetail.  Not sure what to do about it.

Congats Bone.  Wasn't sure you had won the Award but was pulling for you.
Now Chuck Barttlet will have some competition for the cover photos with Pope on board.  You too Bone.
I too would encourage all to support WSB, it truly has had an positive impact  for bowhunting in Wa. through the years.
The organization also has a substantial record keeping component for WA bowhunting  entries that doesn't require any fee
nor does it require one to be a WSB member to submit entries.

i joined this year at the sportsmens show in monroe. $25 a year, figured it was a good deal for a magazine and a good cause. i have never even hunted a season with a bow yet...ever...but plan to this year. maybe next year i'll hit up the banquet too. sounds like a great time.
organizations like this need younger folks to carry them on for the future.
congrats bone.

Thanks guys.  What a year!
Chuck was flying under my radar.  I want to research and see more of his work.  I've submitted one photo to the magazine and had it published as a cover photo.  I'll try to get it on here.  I haven't submitted any for several years.  I probably should try again.

Thats awesome Jack.  I'm glad you signed up.  We'll get that bowhunting going.   ITs fun stuff.

In 95' I spent the summer working on the Hoh, Queets and Quinalt Rivers... I met Chuck and Grace up the Quinalt and they invited me in their trailer and showed me some pics... I've been soooo impressed with their work... they have THE best Rosy pics in the world, barrr none.... Good stuff for sure... Very nice people too.

It'd be REAL fun to go to the park and shoot rosys for a few days in early September.... as long as it didn't pour rain on you the whole time!

Fantastic. Just read this thread again. Well done Boneaddict. No surprise from my end though. You're always doing the work to get a nice animal. I am envious if not jealous.  :whoo:

We'll have to have you and the family come over next year Ernie, the girls can do theri thing witht he kids and we can go to the banquet, or send the kids to grandmas and we can go or if they all want to go that would be fun too.  Those old fellars are awesome to listen tell their stories.  I'm sure one of the members on here will be getting this award next year anyway.
Thanks Ray...thats some read.  I had no idea my year would be this great.  I have a feeling Hornseeker and I will be reliving alot of Montana adventures about this time next year.
