Back from first high hunt

I just got back from my first high hunt/first deer hunt. To the two 20 year or so year old hunters that told me about the sign they found across from the camp, thank you. But all the litter you left at the camp isn't cool, it attracts bears (I knew it was theirs because there was only one truck at the trailhead when I got there). I didn't get anything, but this was my first deer hunt and I was solo, so I went in knowing it would mostly be a learning experience. Lesson one, I need to get in much better shape and lesson two, I need different boots. Finally got back to my car drove about 200 yards and nice 3 pointer walks slowly across the road, gets to the other side and stared at me for a few seconds and then walked into the forest, he knew he was out of the wilderness area and it was past hunting hours. If he had a middle finger he would have been waving it

We had one crew leave a lot of trash in a camp site one year. Told the ranger who was responsible for it and he packed the trash out and mailed it to them C.O.D. complete with a ticket. Ran into them a couple of following years and they never pulled that crap again.
