Special draws 200's units
« on: March 01, 2009, 12:47:33 PM »
I think you modern guys need to drop your skirts and pick up a bow or muzzle loader.

I heard at the WDFG meeting this weekend it is going to be anounced ALL special draws during the rut for mule deer in all the 200 units will  be for archery or muzzle loaders.
They are going to ace out the modern guys.

Its part of the leftist movement away from guns. Give incentives for picking up a less efficient weapon.  :'(

I was always told if you are going to dream, DREAM BIG

more efficient weapon needs another 7 days added to kill a buck in the rut? maybee that is to make up for the less efficient hunter? :dunno:

Maybe people hunt modern because they feel its more ethical, or they would rather but the animal down in its tracks than risk losing it to a half inch variance in shot placement as is possible with a bow. Nothing against bowhunters, I hunted multi-season and applied again this year. Just pointing out the movement away from modern weapons. You can't deny the anti-gun trend in todays governmental practices...

So did they change from their proposals then? Because the Entiat was proposed to be Nov 1-24 for rifle, 25-30 for muzzleloader, and archery after that. That puts the rifle hunters in the prerut and rut and post rut, muzzle and archery post rut. (That proposal made no freaking sense to me)  :dunno:
