Bought all my tags and have the vacation days for a nice deer and elk combo hunt in the elk city zone for two weeks in October.
I recently inherited a nice alaknak tent and want to start a base camp.
Any recommendations on a good place to camp with hike in opportunity for deer and elk? We don't mind putting some miles on the boots.
Not asking for a honey hole, just a starting point.
