besides GoPro?
« on: September 24, 2017, 06:29:15 PM »
Are there other sports action cameras out there besides Go Pro and Spypoint??? I know Spypoint makes one but would like to research others too before I buy one. I looked at the both brands at Cabelas  and Spypoint was water resistant and thats not good enough for what I want to do with it, Gopro would be costly with the accessories I would need to buy to make it work for me and my budget couldn't afford it.

Appreciate any & all suggestion regarding other brands & models to look at.

I have a Contour brand camera that I like. It takes great pictures and video - but I'm not overly impressed with the audio.

You check Craigslist or a pawn shop for GoPro accessories? I bought some accessories for mine that were lightly used and a fraction of the new cost.

I bought a wimius from Amazon for like 40$, ever bit as nice as my go pro, comes with a ton of accessories. It's worth a look, mines 18 months old and works like new still.

GoPro accessories are copied and available almost immediately on places like Amazon.  You can pick up a TON of accessories for hardly any money.  They might not be GoPro, but they work just fine. Heck, they might be made in the same factory.

I have a SJcam that looks just like a GoPro and works just as well. I can also use all GoPro accessories. I use it for scuba diving, skiing, and paddleboarding. Best part is depending on them model they are only 60 bucks!

Check out BeHD.  There pretty cool. Same as GoPro and all. Cheaper that's for sure. 4k, Wi-Fi,  blah blah
