@carpI checked 9 bags(coolers, rifle, gear, cape, horns) with Alaskan airlines. It cost me $350. They messed up badly. This should have been around $600. The issue you may have is from year to year they change the rules. Make sure to call the air port you are flying back from. I had called ahead then also went down and talked to them in person before booking a flight back. It could turn into a real mess if they say no and you have two hours until your flight.
