Access in 260?
« on: September 27, 2017, 09:43:26 PM »
So lost my private access in 260 foster creek for 2nd deer. Any of the public land hold does? Any other ideas for private access? Can't make it over to knock on doors before the season to gain any other access

Any info is helpful. Thanks in advance

Have not hunted 260 for several years, but yes, find some public land and you should be able to find some does.  Knock on a few doors as well...........

if you have onx hunt on your phone you will lots of public land. some of it has farmers planting green fields right next to it. i have hunted Douglas and Andrew units a lot. every deer i have shot were not standing in the middle of a green field. i usually see then there but wait till they hit the brush to sneak in closer. it will take lots of driving to find those places that are public unless you use onx. once you do find a place look for fields near by and the heaviest cover. water is not a big deal right now due to the cooler temps with dew on the green wheat.

Thanks all for the info. Sent in my request to hunt foster creek ranch.  As I said just looking for a doe opportunity for my nephew and myself. So hopefully we can connect. The area looks like it should work well to find a doe or 2.
