Grayland surf perch

I did pretty darn well on them Saturday.  Fished about an hour.  Can't wait to dig clams next weekend!

Sled, could we meet up sometime on the beach?  I own a home in Grayland, and use to fish commercially and deckhanded on charters for a living, and in my off time, I never picked up surf perch fishing.  I'd love to get it down.  how often are you down there?

thanks!

I do real well down off the Warrenton Cannery road and go to the left just a little bit. Looking forward to giving it a try with the clams this weekend.

I have the Surf Perch bug so bad that I'm not thinking about ducks. The drive from smellvue is to the coast is rough but worth it.

I love perch, they are some seriously good fish!

I used to fish for surfperch right by the old shipwreck at Open Sores when I was a kid.  I had two hooks on and many times reeled them in two at a time.  I tried there about ten years ago and did not have any success.  I would love to take my kids down to Grayland and try again.  They are fantastic eating too.
