What's your pace when the sun is high?
« on: October 02, 2017, 01:17:53 PM »
Hey folks.  Curious how others approach the non-golden hours, so to speak.  Say you've glassed your favorite spot through first light, not seen much, and the sun is getting high.  How do you spend your late morning/early-mid afternoon periods?  Do you cycle through glassing spots until you find something?  Spend the time exploring food sources and looking for sign with the intent to glass it later?  Go take a nap?

I spent most of my time behind my spotting scope this weekend and I'm wondering if it's even worth it if the bears are holed up sleeping.  Anybody ever find bears in their beds anyway?

"master" hunter - still a noob.

I was always told to hunt bear all day unless the temps are above 85 degrees or so......bears are fare weather critters.  Matter of fact, mid day this time of year is when I would be looking the hardest.
