Kenmore Gun Range
« on: October 02, 2017, 10:09:35 AM »
Has anyone/ is anyone planning on going there this week to sight in/shoot their ML?  If so, I would really like to meet up with someone that has more experience than I do and maybe shoot with them. I live about 5 minutes from the range. Please PM me if you'd be interested!

Thanks everyone

Matt

I'd go with you, but I'm sort of tied up in Mazama hunting.  Well, sort of hunting.  Hunting would imply a chance of success.  Not much of that around here.  But, I wouldn't want to be doing anything else right now.

The first 6 positions at Kenmore are 50 yards.  Get on paper there, then move over to the 100 yard benches.  Let the range master(s) know what you're up to and they can be pretty helpful.  If they aren't, let me know and I can probably get their attitude adjusted (range management likes friendly and helpful employees).  Unless they're totally slammed, they will spot for you to get on paper if you ask.  Even then, you may just have to wait a minute until they free up a little time.  Those guys can be a real resource if you ask them.  Be a good shooter and try to take a downwind bench to keep the smoke from bugging the black rifle guys.

Thanks Saread.  I appreciate the info.  I have gone there twice now, both times to sight my 300.  The first was a learning curve, as I have always been used to shooting out in the middle of nowhere with my hunting partner at our own pace.  There was some looks, and yelling and attitude, but gun safety is no joke.  Second time I worked with a guy who was really great a patient with me.  I have never sighted in a ML within a range before, so I just want to make sure I am as courteous as possible around the modern rifle guys.  I spoke with a member here and I think we are going to be able to meet up tomorrow and get us both dialed in!

Like I said, I live close, so if you're ever planning on going, let me know.  I would like to get more comfortable shooting their and going more frequently!

Thanks

Great day out with Carl yesterday!  Nice to meet a Hunt WA member. Great Guy, and its always nice to tag along with another person or group so that it makes the time there better spent. we got her dialed into 2 inches high!  Carl is dead on ready to go!!!

I live close by as well Boomwhop! I go there to shoot my rifle as well. I also would like to get back into trap shooting. Hit me up as well.
