Hotels in Republic, reccomendations. For modern deer.
« on: October 06, 2017, 06:18:47 AM »
I see there are three hotels in republic, after seeing how bad a hotel can be in pierce Id last year, I'm hoping someone on here can recommend one of these.  Thinking about heading over there for the last few days of regular deer with my dad, I'd stay in our tent but he's not excited about those bone chilling nights.  :chuckle: Plus it's been probably 15 years since we've been there and really don't know what to expect as far as camp sites go just out of town. Thanks for any help guys, I'll be trying to get my dad a deer and I see whitetail does are open for disabled hunters on the weekend.

probably a little late to get a reservation
better not be picky or you'll be tenting

I was wondering about that, figured we were screwed, I'm going to call today to see.  I kinda hope they are sold out so we can use our brand new alakanak!!  Just keep the fire going in the stove, I'm sure it will be in the teens over there.  Sucks seeing your dad get too old for this stuff!

I was up in Republic for work this summer, and spent two nights at the Northern Inn.  Great place, very woodsy feel, very nice owner/manager.  But yes, they might be filling up.  Might be worth a try to look at AirBnB or something.

Good luck to you and your dad, trophyhunt.

KdiamondK is the nicest place you will get. Its just out of town headed towards Keller.  Great food nice people hot tub pool table and very clean peaceful atmosphere. If you can get a room I guarantee you will have a great stay.

Try Fisherman's Cove  509-775-3641, probably full for the opening weekend, but it should open up mid week.

The Klondike is old but it's clean and cheap, or at least was a couple of years ago.

Well there are still rooms available if others are looking, I called Klondike and northern inn, both have rooms.  We booked with northern inn, just sounds a bit nicer and only a little bit more each for the stay.  Can't wait, haven't hunted the area in many years, hopefully no major changes!  I did give up my honey hole to a member on here because I thought I was never going back,  :bash: hopefully he's busy this year and can't go??   :chuckle:  thanks for all the advise, good luck guys!

Good luck hunting. Unless things have changed in the past few years beware of the local police force in Republic. Don't ever call them for assistance. These boys are straight out of the police force in "The Dukes of Hazzard" and I suspect somewhere there is a Boss Hogg running their pathetic show. My experience and impression was later verified by several of the local residents. Be careful.

I wasn't rowdy. Just needed assistance. I hate to think of what they do to the rowdy crowd. I imagine it isn't very pleasant.

Is the keller ferry still running and does it have hours?  Thanks, it's been a while since I've used it.
