Northern Inn is the best in town for sure. DO NOT try to take the ferry Friday afternoon heading north or Sunday morning heading south. Go around to grand coulee damn then head over Cache creek or Manilla creek.

Try one of the resorts at curlew lake.

 :yeah:

We stay at Tiffany's really nice to be on the lake and close to hunting. Two room cabin with a kitchen, shower, and a some have fireplaces in them.

on a normal year,Id think you were too late.  Since its probably going to be a bit slower this year, maybe you might find something. but as mentioned I wouldn't be picky

I wasn't rowdy. Just needed assistance. I hate to think of what they do to the rowdy crowd. I imagine it isn't very pleasant.

I'd like to hear the rest of this story, maybe post I thread in VC?

Good luck hunting. Unless things have changed in the past few years beware of the local police force in Republic. Don't ever call them for assistance. These boys are straight out of the police force in "The Dukes of Hazzard" and I suspect somewhere there is a Boss Hogg running their pathetic show. My experience and impression was later verified by several of the local residents. Be careful.

what did the do, or not do, that gave you that impression? Backstory?

It must be a slow year, both places I called still had rooms.  I personally don't care if I kill a deer, just want my dad to get one.  Even if it's a doe whitetail on the weekend.

Unfortunately found a 2 point mule deer dead, they only took the back straps.  Looks like a few days old, pretty stinky. Damn shame, hate to see it.
