Check out MOTOBECANE bikes. I bought a 29er. Nice online bike for $400ish. It serves it's purpose, not a horrible bike to use for a few days a year.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I'm sure disc breaks are way better, but defiantly not necessary.  I've carted out quite a few deer, and bear, and have never had disc breaks. I bought my Canondale for $200

Out of all links that posted above, which bike(or bikes) do you guys think would be the best choice? I wanna get one and get out of the way so I can use it for deer season too.

You're over 100 miles away from me. I live in Kirkland, otherwise I would've came and checked it out.

For starters how tall are you?  One of the ads you’ve linked is for a 13” bike, which is quite small.  Also, components are not specified in any of the ads linked .  You mentioned you want durable, cheap components are not durable

There is a specialized stump jumper in Lynwood for 375, couldn’t get the link to attach.

Yea I saw that one. Actually I was thinking the same, 13" would be small for me I'm 5-7. I did the measurement thing online, it was saying something around 19" would work the best.

If you're going to buy a 13" frame at 5-7, you may as well buy a Huffy for fitty bucks.  :)

That Stumpjumper would be a solid bike if it fits in your budget.

Think it's worth the price ?? For some reason I feel like I can get something better at that price.

It’s hard to say without seeing the bike. I do think it’s a better deal than the Trek that was $300 that you linked. I would have to go back and look at the ad and see specifically what components were on it, I have SRAM on my bike and I’ve been happy with them.

Ultimately, you have to feel comfortable with what you’re buying. I have a friend that rode a specialized and rode it really hard. He was more than happy with it and used it in much more extreme conditions than it sounds like you plan to.

I raced downhill mt. Bikes for a few years and spent $5k+ on them in '02-'03. Like most hobbies there are always temptations spend more to get more.
I sold my racing bikes shortly after marrying and getting a kid to raise. Funny how that happens.
Anyway, I decided to pick up a mt bike again several months ago for riding into gated areas.
I found a hard tail specialized on craigslist being sold by a gal that was moving out of the country.
I paid $50.
I changed out the tires and replaced the brake and gear cables and the brake pads. Don't remember the cost here but it was pretty insignificant.
It rides great and i don't have to stress at all when I stash it in the bushes.
When I have any free time in the off season I want to get a stecil and try my hand at giving it a camo paint job.

If i were to offer any advice to you it would be to first make sure it's a good fit. Using an ill fit bike leads to pain. Get something with basic and easy to work on parts. Have a few spare parts and a basic bike tool kit. Best of luck.

I'm planning to get something cheap in a good condition for now, use it till I see something really good on clearance or something. Later i'll know I have a spare bike that I got for under $100 or something.
I was actually thinking to paint mine camo too when I get it. I got that camo disease too :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Doesn't specify the frame size, but this one is certainly worth looking at.
