Rental Range?
« on: October 11, 2017, 09:44:16 AM »
Hey Everyone,

My uncles are coming into Seattle for a visit in January. They have not shot bows in around 7 years and are used to shooting long bows back home in Texas. I would like to take them out and fling some arrows along their side.  Is there a place within an hour of Bothell where you can get sized for a bow and where they will rent you that equipment and shoot? I have no experience with this, but thought it would be something enjoyable to do together.

Thank you

I believe Nock Point only rents recurves.  But yes you can rent bows and shoot there at their 20-yard range.

A friend of mine went here with his wife to test shoot recurves I think. Maybe they have long bows too?

If memory serves correctly Next Step is more of a Club or Organization than a range or storefront.

Next Step Archery is connected to the Knock Point. You can rent recurves there and shoot. I think it is like 20 bucks.

Thanks guys! I just checked out the website.  Does Knock point have compounds to rent?  That is what I was hoping to find...Maybe that's a little much to ask for..?

I also meant more-so, are there other places people know of that might accommodate compound rentals; based on previous experience/recommendations. I can call and ask the particulars, but to do a general online search sometimes is hard to navigate toward a particular place.  Sometimes I can't find "shops/things/answers" online, however after having someone who provides the name of a location/item, I can type that it and it comes up.

I've never heard of anywhere that rents compound bows. Also, within an hour of Bothell, the Nock Point is about the only game in town.

You could check with Denton at Rock Creek Archery but that's in Enumclaw which is more than an hour drive from Bothell. There's also a place up near Bellingham or Wooley I think, but again, more than an hour's drive.  Can't remember what that shop is called.

Thanks Guys. I will give Rock Creek a call.  I don't mind if it is over an hour away; just not across the state. ha

I appreciate your feedback
