Bears on Weyerhaeuser Land (Pe Ell South)
« on: October 11, 2017, 05:07:38 PM »
Hey folks,

Hope everyone is having a solid season so far. I was curious if anybody has any experience hunting bear on Weyerhaeuser property. I purchased a permit for Pe Ell South this year and will be out this weekend going for deer. I was hoping I might get a shot at encountering a bear while I'm out there. I was wondering if anybody knows if Weyerhaeuser hires people to lower bear populations on their property for the sake of saving trees. I'd appreciate any input from you fine folks. Also, if any of you guys find yourself around Pe Ell South this month and are looking to shoot the shi*t behind the gates, let me know! Would be nice to be able to drink a beer with another human being while back there.

Thanks!

I appreciate the reply Elkcollector! Looks like I'll be going elsewhere to try to harvest a bear before season ends.

Yeah I would focus my efforts elsewhere for bear.  There are some, but you do not see them very often.  At least in the area of PeEll South that I have hunted.
