What kind of food do you take with you for a day hunt?

A heavy meat and cheese laden sandwich, venison jerky, homemade trail mix, energy bars, cans of sardines (although the garbage from them is getting too much to pack out as it smells bad), landjaegers, or any combination of the above.  Stay away from Fiber One anything.  Those are trouble.  You will need to pack extra toilet paper.

    Hope to not offend, but I wouldn't dream of taking half the stuff some of you guys are listing. Especially some of the smelly stuff like tuna/onion type stuff.

Jerky pepperoni cheese mix, almonds, and a sandwich.  Water is the most important thing.  A flask incase there is reason to celebrate.

Trail mix, Halloween candy and that smashed PB and J for me.  Also, I like the combination of liquid and energy from a pint or two of chocolate or strawberry milk.

I pack an MRE. Plenty of food for a whole day. Getting hungry will mess up a good day hunting real fast.

favorite thing to make the night before is a toasted english muffin breakfast sandwich with cheese, egg, fried ham and guacamole or ketchup. Put that in tin-foil and in the morning I throw it on my dash and crank the windshield defrost, I flip it over after 15 mins or so. After about 30 mins you will have a hot breakfast sandwich and the cheese will be melted. If your in a rush throw it under the hood for 5 mins near the manifold and it will be ready. other then that a cliff bar or two.
