Opener, big spread or small
« on: October 13, 2017, 05:22:43 PM »
I'm going big for no reason other than I can and I have some new dekes to try out.  I don't think it matters, but I have nothing better to do while waiting for the morning so let's see what you guys think.

I've only hunted two openers and my experience was that if they were in the area they were going to drop in.

Small.

I'll be using six mallards, four sprigs on a jerk string, and six geese.

Hunting small water by myself.

I go small the first few weeks.  6 teal, 3 mallard floaters, 3 mallards on land and 4 goose floaters.
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Short morning hunt. Only 2 honker decoys.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

A dozen mallard decoys and a pull string. Result was 14 greenheads.

We went big. 9 dozen mallards pintails widgeon and teal plus some honker shells. Jerk dig and 3 flutter wings. Had a few other occupied ponds near us. Paid off as we were the only group that limited.
