Unit 39 idaho mule deer?
« on: October 13, 2017, 08:15:42 PM »
After bailing out from unit 16, we are planning on going to more open country.

Anyone been into 39 this year and have any report?

I know it's a tough year due to winter kill, especially in SE idaho.

Any tips appreciated. We have about 5.days to connect on a Muley.

Only thing I've heard about unit 39 is the winter kill was especially bad so their deer population is horrible. You were originally trying to kill a mule deer in unit 16?

Probably more people than deer this year.   I’ve heard it’s pretty lean, but isn’t every where? Goodluck

The fervur with which people are talking about mule deer in Idaho is almost enough to make me bag my trip, tear up my two tags and wonder if I did really see all those bucks this summer...
Ain't even BS'n I'm having doubts.
