Feel Free To Hunt Area Moxee Valley
« on: October 16, 2017, 07:26:05 PM »
Drove out to what I thought was a "Feel free to hunt" area tonight but I didn't see any signs posted on any sides of the property.

It was in Moxee valley Washington east of Yakima. Has anyone been out there recently? Also, how would I go about finding out if the area is still an area available to hunt on.

Thanks.

I'd call wdfw office in Yakima and ask about it. They should be able to direct you to the right person to talk to.

Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

In our region, there is a post at the parking area and if the post is there it is open.  The borders of the hunting area are almost never marked, it is up to the hunter to figure that out.

If I had a doubt, I would call the bio in charge of the program for that region.

Yeah I drove out there but I couldn't see a sign marked "feel free to hunt" just no trespassing signs around the area.

This appears to be some kind of farm growing a tall vine link crop. It would seem weird just walking in there with a shotgun. Looking on google earth there are cars there and presumably workers as well. I get the feeling this farmer is just taking advantage of a WDFW program.
