Failure to connect
« on: October 15, 2017, 09:32:22 PM »
Hey All,

Been having issues for months now, when I come on the forum everyday, I can only come on for a short time before I can no longer open anything or do anything as everything I open at one point all says failure to connect to web server, any help would be greatly appreciated? I am able to get on every day for a short time then this happens and am not able to do anything for at least an hour or so before it will start over and do the same thing again. I have cleared my cookies, cache, and history and this has not worked. I have not had any issues on any other sites other than this one, and have never had problems on here until the last few months.

Thanks for any ideas or help!

Might help if you describe what items you like to click on.  I get similar issues for certain posts/posters.  Usually times me out for an hour or two.

I have been experiencing the same kind of symptoms. A glitch in the site possibly?

The memes thread seems to have an issue in it. A couple of the mods are having the same issues with that thread specifically.

Yep the meme thread is the one that gets me most of the time.  It's normally about an hour that I am locked out.  The other day it happened on a thread that I think had links attached to it but I can't recall what one it was.

When it happens again I will update on this thread.  Well after my hour timeout I will.

FYI the hour timeout is on all devices, computer, laptop and phone.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

It happens to me when I live at camp. It seems the satellite Internet is simply not good enough to make the forum function. And the cell booster out there doesn't boost me to 4G so it won't work off that either.

There was a very very brief period maybe 2 days back in July maybe where it worked. Then right back to not working.

Works fine on my phone in town just not out at camp.

Some changes were made to the forum, I need to know, is this still an issue or has it been resolved?

We know of a similar issue, but it's nowhere near as significant as the problem you're having. None of us are very knowledgeable with the techy type stuff, but I can't help but wonder if it's a problem on your end. Literally nobody has any sort of issue where they can only stay online a few minutes at a time.

Hey,

This happens on my only source of internet, that is Hughes net satellite internet. I have had the same service for many years and the forum has always worked great for me with zero issues until approx. this spring.

Thanks for attempting to resolve this issue!
