Does anybody know of a WDFW opinion on these? I don't think they are lagal because they purposely hide the bouy. Hence a submerged and marked bouy is no longer a legibly marked bouy.

People paranoid about thieves. I personally think almost all cases of crab pot theft aren't, and are really drifting because of not enough weights.

Pretty sure not legal, they would not be able to tell if you had 2 or 20 pots out.

If theft is that much of a problem, just use rings, it's probably more fun and easier to tell quickly if you are in a good/bad location.
