Any of ya'll hunt blacktail up in the Green Diamond Resource Company recreational access program lands? West of Shelton? Got a non-motorized permit for this upcoming season and have been wondering if anybody else hunts that land regularly and knows much about it?

Thanks!

I use a walk-in pass there. One of my first hunting areas. Lots of land to explore. Try to get off the roads. You won't be lonely hunting out there during the deer season. Lots of road hunters. There are a lot of deer out there.

There's nothing more demoralizing when 25 rigs drive by you before daylight when your on foot. The trick to a walk in permit is to find gated or ditched roads that do not link up to with the network of roads that the paid vehicle access permit holders have access to.

Definitely scouting the map for only non-motorized areas,  damn is it slim pickins. Seems like it's gonna be thick woods for the most part too. I guess my 4x scope outta be fine
