Hows the bugeye fishing at the Potholes?
« on: March 03, 2009, 09:56:17 AM »
I am heading east this weekend and was wondering if anyone had any advise?  Is it worth pulling the boat over the pass?

:) Hi, just talked to the folks at MarDon at sullivan lake and they say it is still frozen over there.  The ice isn't deep enough to ice fish on thou.  Rufus Woods is a great spot and you can get bug eyes there as well as big trout.
I've slowed down enough in my old age to finally let the game catch up to me

Not to contradict the folks at mar don, but I have a hard time believing that it is impossible to get a boat out on the lake.  Scootney has been open for some time now.  I have not been up to the pot holes but scootney is not that far down the road and it is 50 degrees today in Connell.  I would agree that trying to get out on any ice in that area is definitely a bad idea

I would go to ruffus woods and give the lake a little more time Moses Lake is still 70% iced over. I would think Potholes is close to that.
