Notched My Multi-Season Tag This Mornin'
« on: October 18, 2017, 06:04:05 PM »
Had a good hunt this morning.  Never could find a good muley buck, but did happen into a couple nice whiteys.  It was nice and quiet this morning after a good rain.  Found this guy napping in a grassy spot.  Shot him with the wife's .308.  Lung shot... and he ran over 100 yards, leaving no blood trail at all.  It took me two hours of zigzagging all over the hill.  I walked past him twice, then bumped right into him.  Took him out whole on a cart.

Glad I finally connected during the rifle season.  I'm not the best archer any more!  :chuckle:

Thanks everyone.  I was really glad to find him.  Wasn't looking good for a while there!

Mray, I'm surprised you remember my name.  Looks like you've notched a tag or two yourself!

Ha ha.  Shows how bright I am!  I remember that elk story.  Seems like that was a big Peaches Ridge bull.  Did you finish eating it yet?   :chuckle:
