Pretty buck, looks like a great eater!  I hate those long searches, glad yours ended on a high note.  I've had enough kill shots that never left a drop of blood, even on snow.  Way to persevere.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I got right at 100 pounds of meat off the buck, with all the fat and sinew trimmed off.  Is that normal.  I don't remember getting that much before, but this is my first whitetail buck.
